Thrikkakkara
Thrikkakkara Vamanamoorthy Sri Vamanamoorthy Thrikkakkara is one of the 108 divya desam temples situated in Kerala near Ernakulam. As per Bhagavadha purana, Vishnu descended as Vamana to restore the authority of Indra which had been taken by Mahabali, a benevolent Asura King. King Mahabali was generous and regarded himself as the all powerful in the world. To teach humility to the King, Vamana in the guise of a short brahmin boy carrying a wooden umbrella, went to the king to request three paces of land. Mahabali smirked at the small boy and consented to take the land as measured by the boy's foot. The boy then revealed his identity and grew to gigantic proportions to stride over the three worlds.
